Hi and Welcome! I’m glad you’re here.
My name is Ali! I’m a mom in my 30’s trying to navigate a lot of things. I’m a first-time mom, military spouse, and the heart behind Faith in the Frenzy. This blog was born out of the beautiful, messy, overwhelming, joy-filled chaos that is parenting a child with special needs — specifically, a sweet daughter with Cornelia de Lange Syndrome (CdLS).
Nothing about this journey has looked the way I thought it would. The milestones are different. The routines are unpredictable (to put it mildly). The medical system is a maze. But this life, with all its complexity, is full of meaning, miracles, and moments worth grabbing onto.
Being a mom in the world of special needs parenting has stretched me in every direction — emotionally, spiritually, and even logistically (hello, therapy schedules, doctor visits, and cross country moves). It’s taught me how to advocate fiercely, love deeply, and most importantly, lean hard into God’s faithfulness when everything feels too big.
Faith in the Frenzy as a blog started as an idea I talked about with friends, but it really started in a beat-up moleskin journal. Because this is where I write from the middle of it — not from the “after” or the “look how it all worked out” moment. Here, I share what I’m learning about grace in survival mode, joy in small wins, and the quiet strength that grows in the chaos.
If you’re navigating a similar journey — whether you’re a special needs parent, a frazzled mom figuring out life at home, or someone trying to find peace in your own storm — I hope you’ll find encouragement here. Not because I have it all figured out, but because I’m learning to trust the One who does.
Thanks for visiting and reading my stories. Let’s hold onto faith — even in the frenzy.
With love,
Ali
