My daughter has a stuffy nose. And maybe it’s being a first time mom, maybe it’s lack of sleep, maybe it’s just the bone deep exhaustion that is the cumulative effects of everything thus far, but it feels like my heart is being ripped in half every time I hear the whistling breaths that she’s struggling to sneak through her plugged nose.
She was just checked out by the ENT not too long ago, so I know this is not an emergency situation. But the sounds are so similar, and the fear is hard to let go of.
Today the song Waymaker echoes on repeat throughout my house as I keep grabbing hold to the claim that God is a way maker and a miracle worker. I don’t have a good lesson for today. Just a continuous mumbling prayer that God “would make a way where there is no way.”
“Please just let her keep breathing” is my mantra tonight.
